TGIF at Jugnoo – Fun Friday

tgi friday 1024x699 TGIF at Jugnoo Fun Friday

The first of May is many things to many people: May Day; a psychological ‘end to winter’; and, for many at college or university, the first official day of summer break.

Here at Jugnoo headquarters May 1 marked an influx of new hires and interns. Current employees were advised on the eve of the inundation to come early because its getting tight here in the Jugnoo offices, and these new staff members are eager, anxious and ready to claim territory!

To ensure our latest Jugnoo-ites were settling in successfully, we decided to check in to see how their first week was shaping up.

They are grateful for their relatively spacious workspace and the view – both are a rarity here in Jugnoo HQ. Therefore, we have asked these smart men to become a reliable weather source from the 17 floor.

Watch out meteorologists- JugNews is coming!

Our new marketing team intern thinks that each day he is moving faster than the day before. In his opinion, it’s not fast enough – but stick around kid, soon you’ll be whirling like a dervish! Great to have him as part of the team even if his feet alone occupy an entire square foot of space.

When the fledgling in the quality assurance team was asked how his first week was going, he responded, “Good. Everyone is really nice.” Hmmmm. Clearly he’s still in first week mode, and was playing the safe card.

There will definitely be more to come from him – most likely in the form of support tickets.

All kidding aside, we are tremendously excited about the growth of our team and look forward to introducing you to many more as we continue to grow!

What’s trending?

Twitter is an endless source of information, entertainment and, sometimes, procrastination. As we are a social media company, we want to ensure that we are on top of the trends. Here’s a few that were making the rounds this week:

#ConfessionNight was an opportunity for tweeps to come clean. A lot of people’s inner secrets came out of the woodwork  - apparently a lot of people like the smell of gasoline. Some were quite scandalous, but we’ll let you search the hashtag to find your favourites. Keep them coming – it’s easier than having to jimmy your diary lock.

#Ilookforward brought together a group of Twitter folk who aren’t looking backwards (which is great because that’s counterproductive and somewhat dangerous). This was a chance to share positive happenings in 140 characters. We hope that every one of these tweets comes true. If not #Ilookbackward may be next week’s Twitter trend!

Eco-friendly robot was all over Twitter this week, but probably won’t be for long due to eco-things and their propensity for decomposition. This story was quite popular *and* it was from England – which is instantly cooler since the robot would have a pithy English accent.

We joke, but this groundbreaking technology is great for the environment and will hopefully prove that men really are from Mars.

Those are our top 3 trends but in an effort to maintain relevancy and thought leadership in the social space we want to assure you that yes, we saw the Catdaddy video. Er, no comment.

Crafty crafts

photo 6 224x300 TGIF at Jugnoo Fun FridayHere at Jugnoo there is a lot of creativity that usually presents itself in the form of blog posts, videos or fun contests. We decided to take all of these creative vibes and put them to work in real life.

Curious about what we are crafting? You will just have to wait and see!

So, there you have it. We work hard at Jugnoo, but we have a lot of fun too. And we wanted to share some of that with you. So, TGIF, and enjoy your weekend!

  2. If you can work and have fun at the same time then nothing can stop you, not even the Penguin. ;)

    • CatDuPe says:

@Andrea T. H. W. Thanks! Yea, we have fun here. We do have a great fridge to house a penguin and high ceilings for a giraffe. Maybe we should just open a zoo.
